01Getting there from downtown

As the crow flies, River Rock sits about 150 m from the Canada Line's Bridgeport Station. That figure is calculated from TransLink station coordinates. The walking route will be a little longer, and it may be wetter.

River Rock says it is 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver and 5 minutes from the airport on the Canada Line. Those are the venue's own figures. For current train times, check TransLink. The SkyTrain and bus page covers the general routes.

04Hotel, theatre and food

River Rock has a hotel with nearly 400 rooms. A Sky Bridge joins the Hotel Tower to the Casino Tower. The pool comes with a water slide. Check-in is limited to guests 19 or older.

The Show Theatre seats 1,000 people. The venue publishes its own event listings.

Places to eat on site include KOI, Sea Harbour, Gordon Ramsay Steak and The Chairman's Room buffets. The food court kitchens are being upgraded, so Zio's is closed and Chopsticks serves a limited menu. Hours and menus are on River Rock's own site.

05Parking

The self-parking entrance sits on the west side and is reached from River Road. Valet is off River Road, and over-height vehicles use the East Parkade.

The only parking prices River Rock publishes are $33 per night for overnight valet and $25 per night for over-height self-parking. Self-parking for casino visitors has no published rate. If you are driving, ask the venue first.

06Ownership and history

River Rock first opened its doors on June 25, 2004. A partnership of two parties has owned it since June 16, 2026. Petroglyph Development Group, the first partner, belongs to the Snuneymuxw First Nation, while the second, Musqueam Capital Corp, belongs to the Musqueam Indian Band. The seller to the partnership was Great Canadian Entertainment.

07Entry, ID and support

Gambling in BC is 19+. Every visitor must show original government-issued photo ID at the door. Photos or copies are not accepted. Security checks each ID against everyone barred from gambling facilities, Game Break enrollees among them.

Buy-ins or payouts adding up to $3,000 in one day trigger an identity check. Buy-ins with cash, bank drafts or certified cheques totalling $10,000 or more within 24 hours call for a source-of-funds declaration.

Every BC casino has a GameSense Info Centre on or near the floor. Gambling Support BC answers 24/7, free of charge, at 1-888-795-6111. See the support page for more.

For getting home after a late session, see late night. For the other casinos around the region, see Metro casinos.
