01What this site is
The City of Vancouver has two casinos. Parq Casino is downtown on Smithe Street, beside BC Place. Hastings Casino is in Hastings Park in East Vancouver. The rest of Metro Vancouver has more, and those are covered on Beyond Vancouver.
This site is a guide to getting to those venues and back. It is not run by any casino, operator or BCLC, and it speaks about the venues in the third person because they are not its own.
02Who writes it
The pages are written and checked by the Umbrella Crew, a small editorial team. The guide makes no claim to credentials, inside knowledge or a history in the industry. It does not claim to have visited, tested or reviewed anything. What it offers is published facts, sorted and checked against each other.
03Drawings and photographs
Every flat poster drawing here came from an image generator. Six show real casino buildings, drawn from real photographs that keep their shape, canopies and signs. They are Cascades Casino Delta, the Cascades Casino Langley hotel entrance, Elements Casino Surrey, Grand Villa Casino Burnaby, Great Canadian Casino Vancouver and Starlight Casino. The River Rock marina drawing follows a freely licensed photograph by Blake Handley, credited underneath. Drawings of stations, the guideway, umbrellas and the stadium show no particular casino.
Three pictures are real photographs under free licences, photographer and licence named under each: Parq Vancouver, the Hastings Racecourse aerial view and the River Rock concourse. Small figures under umbrellas in the stadium drawing are not real visitors or staff. Image sources, below, lists author, licence, link and changes for each credited picture.

05Why it exists
A night out should start at the right station and end at a venue that is actually open. That sounds simple until the sources disagree.
Hours are the usual problem. Parq Casino operates without closing, day and night, all week. Hastings Casino is not open 24 hours.
Its operator, Great Canadian Entertainment, opens it Sunday to Thursday 11AM to 12AM (midnight), and Friday and Saturday 11AM to 2AM. Live racing at Hastings ended in December 2025, so race days no longer apply. Any older page still showing different hours or race days is outdated; confirm with the venue's own website ahead of a late visit.
The guide pairs each venue with its nearest SkyTrain station or buses and the late-night options. Those are on By SkyTrain and bus and Late night. It also checks the details that matter when it is raining, which in Vancouver is a planning assumption rather than a forecast.
06What it does not do
- No bets, no games and no accounts. Nothing here needs a sign-up.
- No ratings, rankings or star scores for venues.
- No recommendations to gamble online. For the province's official position, see Online in BC.
- No guessing. If a fact is unconfirmed, the page says so or leaves it out.
How sources are chosen and dated is on Method. How the site is funded is on Advertising. What it does with data is on Privacy.
07Adults only, and help if needed
Gambling in British Columbia is for people 19 and older. No one gets into a BC casino without showing government-issued photo ID.
When gambling stops being a night out, free help from Gambling Support BC is open 24/7 at 1-888-795-6111. There is more on the Support page.
